This is a painting i did today which is going to be one of a series of paintings as i said before, which came out of the photoshop designs, but is not copied exactly as i wanted to portray movement in the way the paint was applied instead of in the images. i therefore used oil paint so it shows the brush marks clearly and went off on a bit of a tangent :)
some nice marks going on in there - how do you find that the oil paint changes your approach/style?
RispondiEliminathe texture of it makes it more exciting so i used palette knife, paintbrush and HANDS to paint it. gives it more substance and depth, as you add layers the subtle colours seeping through are the most interesting part of it, as well as the thick blobs of vibrant colours.
RispondiEliminaooh i like this ooone. layers and layersa are awesome. im not sure that you can do this with oil paint- but it would be interesting to experiment adding bits of tissue paper as well, building the layers up loads in certain places and making an almost sculptural painting.. ?
